After a restful two days, several people mentioned that we should see Hall's Harbour because of the high tide in the little bay. Got there at noon, just at high tide and decided to stick around to see it at it's lowest, around 4:30, when the harbour will be drained of water. A sunny but very windy and cool day.
It certainly was worth it. A crew from the Discovery Channel from California was there to record the extreme tide. They had three cameras positioned around the bay and all were taking a photo every 5 seconds from high to low tide, for a time lapse photography. Almost spent the night there but decided to go to a Provincial park, but it was closed. Ended up spending the night at the Lower Onslow fire hall, west of Truro.
