After leaving Palm Canyon it was about a 2 hour drive to McCoy Mobile Home/RV Park in California, just outside of Yuma, Arizona. Crossed another time zone. A basic park, but friendly people and very quiet. Just the way we like it. Our visit to Mexico with Kevin and Debbie was quite the experience for us. After parking, we walked across the boarder into Los Algodones, Mexico. Lots of people there for the day, very colourfull and EVERYONE had a sales pitch. More dentists and pharmacies in a small area than anywhere else we're aware of. Amazingly low prices for dental work or drugs. Seems most people come there for these services. Had lunch in an open courtyard complete with entertainment. After a few market purchases we were in a long line to get back into the US. A fun outing.

One more state and another time zone. Pacific time |
Spent 3 nights at this park |
Not a bad site |
Coffee in bed, great way to start the day |
Orange and lemon trees were in the park |
Vegetable growing is a hugh business around Yuma |
Perfect romaine lettuce, lets make a Caesar salad |
Irrigation canals provide all the water for the fields. |
Mexican workers harvest the crop. |
They make it very clear |
When walking across the border, it's very easy, no paperwork necessary to
enter Los Algodones, Mexico, only needed passports when returning to US.
People, cars and vendors |
Very colourful, spray painted art |
Way too many choices for the ladies |
Metal art work |
A fun sun |
Metal art of any shape and size was available. We purchased a hummingbird
for PeeWee. |
Imagination run wild |
Pottery was a little too big for us, we only went with a small bowl. |
More stuff |
The main reason people shop there is for
the drugs and dental work. Very cheap. |
One round at lunch was enough |
Taking a breather for lunch in the outdoor restaurant |
Live entertainment, Mexican style |
So where do we go next? |
Two lovely Senoritas |
So what do you think Kevin? No, eh |
Bling, bling and more bling |
Debbie and Grace looking for the next bargain. |
Spray paint artist at work |
Final touches on the mailbox |
So Jordan, recognize any meds? |
Every drugstore offered big discounts. |
Last minute sales pitches as people stood in line to return the US |
Designer glasses anyone? |
They mean business at the border crossing. |
This gives drydocking a whole new meaning |
It was time for a project - installing the new surge protector (guards the electronics)
in PeeWee |
Kevin certainly had all the electronic expertise and tools for the job.
I would have sweated a lot more with the installation without his help. |
Not for the faint of heart |
Ready to mount and test it. It worked perfect. Thank you Kevin. |
Our last happy hour together for a little while, since they will be heading
south of Tucson and we will head north to Lake Havasu. Will hook up
later again since they will spend a month there. |
End to another warm and sunny day. So what's it like at home? |

Cold, snow, windy winter. Spring will be here in April hopefully.
