Susquehannock Lodge Holiday - Pennsylvania

"The Barn", one of several accommodation choices available at Susquehannock Lodge. A very comfortable and friendly lodge, catering to the outdoor enthusiast. Our stay was from December 28, 2010 to January 1, 2011.

Grace on lookout at the east rim of Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon at Leonard Harrison State Park.

Rest stop for hikers along the west rim of Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon in Colton Point State Park. The 10k hike with hikers from Ontario, also belonging to the Bruce Trail Conservancy hiking club, was mainly bare of snow. The hike was led by Greg and Jeanette Vincent.

More snow in the higher interior. No wildlife was spotted, but plenty of deer, coyote and wild turkey signs.

Lunch stop around the halfway mark. Sunshine and comfortable seating made for a relaxing break.

The mandatory group photo at the half way point of the Billy Brown and Susquehannock Trail System hike to Lyman Run State Park, a 17k round trip hike. The trail led to the top of a mountain then down the other side. A little more huffing and puffing along this outing on the last day of 2010. Games and socializing ending the year.
